Statement of Faith |
I Believe:
1.) The Bible is the Word of God, and all scripture is divinely inspired and preserved by God’s sovereign will (II Tim 3:16, Prov 30:5-6, Is 40:8).
2.) God is a Spirit, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable, in His wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth (John 4:24, Ps 90:2, Mal 3:6,
Ex 34:6,7).
3.) God created the heavens and the earth, and the fullness of the Godhead was present at creation as well as the present time (Gen 22:8).
4.) Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and is the incarnation of God - The Word of Promise given to man for redemption (Is 7:14, Matt 1:23, John 1:1, 14,
I John 1:1- 3).
5.) Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah – the Lamb of God who came to take away the sins of the world (Gen 22:8, John 1:29).
6.) Jesus Christ was crucified, dead, and buried; He conquered death and sin and rose again the third day and ascended into heaven (Is 53, Luke 23:46,
Luke 24:5-7, Luke 24:46).
7.) Man is totally depraved, and no man seeks after God without being drawn by the Father (Rom 3:10-20, Rom 5, John 6:44).
8.) The Holy Spirit is the counselor, guide, and sealer of our faith sent to indwell our lives and fill us with the power of God for the purpose of His glory and
will (John 14:16, John 16:7, Eph 4:30, Acts 1:8, Luke 24:49, Rom 15:13, Phil 2:13).
9.) Faith comes from hearing the Word of God; therefore, all God’s people are responsible for the preaching of the gospel of Christ (Heb 10:17,
Matt 28:18-20).
10.) Everything we have is a gift from God including faith, grace, salvation, and eternal life (James 1:17, Eph 2:8,9, Rom 6:23, John 3:16).
11.) We are justified by faith alone and our works are an outward expression of our faith justifying our faith to mankind and demonstrating our obedience
through a changed heart toward God. (Rom 4:13-16, Eph 2:8, James 1:22,26).
12.) God is sovereign in the salvation of the saints, the destiny of man, the destiny of all creation, in life and in death (Rom 9:8,16,18, Hos 3:23,
John 1:12,13).
13.) The sanctification of man brings noticeable life-change and is worked out only by the power of the Holy Spirit conforming those who are called by the
Father to holiness - those who call upon the name of the Lord with a humble hear and a persevering faith to the life and will of the Father (Ez 36:26,
1 Cor 1:2, Heb 2:11, Heb 10:8-10, I Peter 1:1,2, Heb 10:22,23).
